Two Handmaids break their pious facades to share forbidden secrets about their past lives and warn each other of the spies within their homes.

Following a state-mandated 'ceremony,' Offred reflects on the physical and psychological trauma of her situation. She struggles with the visceral aftermath of the assault while trying to maintain a sense of self in a room that feels like a prison.

In the oppressive environment of the Red Center, Offred and Moira whisper in the dark about the loved ones they've lost and the violent rise of Gilead. Their conversation is interrupted by the brutal return of Janine, leading to a chilling realization about their new status as mere breeding stock.
