Chuck, a plane crash survivor recently rescued from a deserted island, undergoes a medical evaluation in a hospital. While the doctor lists his severe physical ailments, Chuck exhibits a manic, unsettling laughter, masking the deep psychological trauma and 'POW syndrome' resulting from his isolation.

Stranded at sea on a makeshift raft, Chuck Noland experiences a hallucinatory internal conflict between his 'Good' and 'Bad' selves. He struggles to maintain his sanity and will to live while battling physical exhaustion and the temptation to give up.
