Cal Monologues

Cal presents Rose with a priceless blue diamond necklace in an attempt to secure her loyalty and affection following her emotional distress. While he speaks of devotion and generosity, his behavior reveals a deeply possessive nature that views Rose as a trophy to be bought and displayed.

Jacob, a suave womanizer, takes the recently separated and frumpy Cal on a high-end shopping spree to overhaul his image. Jacob ruthlessly critiques Cal's style choices while teaching him the essentials of a masculine wardrobe and skincare.

Cal interrupts his son's graduation ceremony to deliver a heartfelt apology and a public declaration of his enduring love for his estranged wife.

Jacob tests Cal on the pickup techniques he has been observing, revealing that Cal is finally ready to approach a woman on his own.

Cal abandons his pickup lines to vent about his divorce, leading to an unexpectedly honest and vulnerable connection with Kate.
