The Doctor Monologues

The Doctor and Bill investigate a mysterious puddle that doesn't reflect, but mimics. The Doctor realizes the water is actually an alien entity before abruptly ending the investigation to protect Bill.

After a hospital is mysteriously transported to the moon, Martha Jones confronts the mysterious stranger known as the Doctor about his identity. They quickly realize the gravity of their situation as they calculate the limited oxygen supply for the thousands of people trapped inside the building.

The Doctor summons Bill Potts, a canteen worker who has been sneakily attending his university lectures, to his office. He challenges her on why she attends and ultimately offers to become her personal tutor, despite her not being an enrolled student.

Trapped in a confession dial for billions of years, the Doctor delivers a defiant monologue while slowly chipping away at an unbreakable wall. He uses a Grimm's fairy tale about a shepherd's boy and a diamond mountain to illustrate the sheer scale of his endurance and his refusal to surrender.
