Richie Scenes

Following his suicide attempt, Richie returns home to find his adopted sister Margot hiding in his childhood tent. They confront their long-repressed romantic feelings for one another and grapple with the damage their eccentric upbringing has caused them. Ultimately, they agree to remain 'secretly in love' while acknowledging the impossibility of a normal relationship.

Richie pulls Uncle Cicero aside during a chaotic family Christmas dinner to ask for a professional opportunity outside of the sandwich shop. He expresses his fear of stagnation and his desire for a mentor, while Cicero maintains a skeptical and blunt demeanor regarding Richie's 'potential.'

While cleaning down a world-class kitchen, Richie confronts the reality of his age and his uncertain future. Garrett explains the deep philosophy of hospitality and service, leading to a vulnerable moment where Richie realizes his temporary internship is coming to an end.

Richie encounters the legendary Chef Terry while finishing his stage at Ever. As they peel mushrooms together, Terry shares her history of failure and redemption, leading Richie to a profound realization about his own potential and the value of time. The scene serves as a pivotal moment of growth for Richie as he learns that Carmy truly believes in him.

Chaos erupts in the kitchen as Richie is confronted by Sugar and Sydney for attempting to steal power from neighbors to fix an HVAC issue. As the argument escalates, Carmy is forced to mediate between his biological sister and his 'cousin' Richie, eventually siding with the women and asking Richie to leave for the night. The scene highlights the deep-seated tensions and the struggle for professional respect within the high-stakes environment of the restaurant renovation.
