Aragorn's Age and Arwen's Hope
from The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Written by Fran Walsh, Philippa Boyens, Stephen Sinclair, Peter Jackson

Éowyn offers Aragorn a bowl of her poorly-made stew while they are camped on the plains of Rohan. As Aragorn struggles to politely consume the meal, the conversation shifts to his true age and heritage, revealing his identity as one of the long-lived Dúnedain.
ÉOWYN: I made some stew. It isn’t much, but it’s hot.
ARAGORN: Thank you.
[He eats a spoonful, his face registering distaste, then swallows hard.]
ARAGORN: It’s good.
ÉOWYN: Really? My uncle told me a strange thing. He said that you rode to war with Thengel, my grandfather. But he must be mistaken.
