Mike and Sulley begin their day with a lively commute to work. Mike, eager to drive his new car, is thwarted by Sulley, who insists they walk due to a scream shortage, leading to humorous bickering and observations of their fellow Monstropolis citizens.
The Scaring Simulation
Characters: Ms. Flint, Bile, Waternoose, Pupil
During a training session for new recruits, Ms. Flint critiques a clumsy trainee's failure to follow safety protocols. The CEO, Mr. Waternoose, interrupts to emphasize the grave danger human children pose to the monster world and the desperate need for high-quality screams to power their city.
Morning Routine & Commercial
Characters: MIKE, SULLEY
Mike puts Sulley through a rigorous monster training routine, preparing him for his job as a scarer. Later, they watch a Monsters, Inc. commercial where Mike is accidentally obscured, much to his dismay.
