LAMDA Audition Monologues
LAMDA asks applicants to prepare two contrasting speeches for the first round — one classical and one modern. They look for clear storytelling, an honest emotional connection, and a piece genuinely suited to your casting and age range.
What LAMDA asks for
- One classical (Shakespeare or other heightened text) speech
- One modern / contemporary speech
- Roughly two minutes each
- Strong contrast between the two pieces
- Age- and casting-appropriate material
